More specifically, there are two sources, the source of Agioi Anargyroi and the source of Kakavos. In fact, in ancient times, King Otto and his wife used to visit Loutra and spend time in their springs.


Panagia Kanala is one of the most important churches on the island of Kythnos, since every year the faithful come to worship her miraculous image. This village got its name from Panagia Kanala. Inside the unique pine forest of the island, the church stands and a few meters away you can stare at the panoramic view of the Aegean Pelagos.

The settlement of Dryopida hosts the Byzantine Museum, the Folklore Museum, the Monument of the Fallen and the famous Katafyki Cave, not unjustly described as one of the largest caves in the Cyclades. Chora or Mesaria is the capital of Kythnos and attracts visitors due to its authentic aura.
